Cat Haven's Cinco de Meow fundraiser celebrates the life of Isabel Booty

 

BATON ROUGE- Dr. Bill Booty Jr., owner of Affordable Smiles, partnered with local nonprofit Cat Haven for Cinco de Meow in memory of his late daughter, Isabel Booty. Cinco de Meow raised $6,000 for Cat Haven and acted as the public launch of the Isabel's Promise Animal Charity & Foundation. Friends and family of Isabel, as well as Cat Haven supporters, came together to fill all 32 lanes of Circle Bowl's alley on May 5th, where they competed for awards and enjoyed other activities such as a silent auction. 

 

Cat Haven appreciates the support of Affordable Smiles and Isabel's Promise, as well as the local businesses and individuals who sponsored this event, including Associated Veterinary Services, The Lucky Law Firm, Dr. James Wade and Necia Wade.

 

About Isabel's Promise

 

Dr. Bill Booty Jr. of Affordable Smiles founded Isabel's Promise Animal Charity & Foundation in 2018 after the passing of his daughter, Isabel Booty. Through this foundation, Affordable Smiles hopes to keep the memory of Isabel alive by doing what she loved most: taking care of the animals in our city. Isabel's Promise currently takes donations for Cat Haven through their website www.isabelspromise.com.

About Cat Haven

 

Cat Haven began in 1999 in response to a community need for comprehensive rescue, foster, and adoption services for cats and kittens in the Baton Rouge community. When we began, we were the first rescue organization to spay and neuter pets before adopting them out to new homes, reflecting the value in responsible pet care, population control, and quality of life for our animal companions. Today, we still remain the only organization that caters exclusively to cats and kittens in Baton Rouge, and we proudly operate as a "no-kill" shelter.
