WoVeN Connects:
State Ambassador Pilot Kicks Off!

The first weekend in September, WoVeN HQ hosted the inaugural training for our pilot group of State Ambassadors in Boston. Teams from Florida, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia came together for an intensive training led by HQ, Trainers, and Consultants. Each state team, comprised of two Ambassadors, will serve as local guides and connectors, helping women Veterans build community, find resources, and strengthen bonds within their states.
This marks an exciting step in expanding WoVeN Connect’s mission to ensure no woman Veteran navigates her journey alone. Keep an eye on upcoming newsletters as we spotlight each Ambassador team and their work in the months ahead!

A big thank-you to Peer Leader Rhonda Zaragoza for representing WoVeN at an outreach event at North Dakota State University on September 9th, alongside Veterans Donna Olsen (Peer Leader), Cindy Olsen, Dee DuShane, and Rhonda’s faithful service dog, Spook.
We’re grateful for their time and energy in sharing WoVeN’s mission with the community!

On September 13, Janice Maupin and Brenda Massey represented WoVeN at the PHAD 23 5th Annual Prince Hall Americanism Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the event support local youth and scholarship programs across age groups. This marks the third consecutive year WoVeN Veterans have joined in service at this community event - this year sponsoring the 10th hole!
The day also included a heartfelt memorial balloon release in honor of our fallen:
