We witnessed and experienced the impact of the Black Lives Matter movement, the COVID-19 pandemic, the immigration border crisis, and the Anti-Asian hate rhetoric and violence over the past two years.
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) are still dealing with the lasting impact of the surge in hate crime and harassment on their mental health.
In our “Hear Youth Out” Community Solidarity project, we have provided an opportunity for ways to help remind our AAPI families and community that we are in this together, and we will come out of this stronger. We asked our (younger) clients and their families what community (solidarity) means or looks like to them.
The “Hear Youth Out” Community Solidarity project is made possible through support from the Asian Pacific Fund and Sisters of the Holy Family.
