October 7, 2023

Greetings community,

Hope you staying cool in this Fall weather.

We would like to share some updates regarding our upcoming schedule. Due to many of us taking much needed time away, being mindful and intentional with our capacity, supporting our partners, attending a professional development conference with CenterLink, our physical doors will need to be closed some days next week and the following week. Our programs/services will still be fully available virtually so we can continue to support you, our wonderful community members.

  • Tuesday 10/10 - doors will be closed, but all virtual/remote programs still available

  • Thursday 10/12 - closing early for Changing Lives (open 11:30-4:00pm)

  • Monday 10/16 - Friday 10/20: doors will be closed this week; but all virtual/remote programs still available

Next week, our doors will be open Wednesday, 10/11 from 11:30am-6:30pm & Thursday, 10/12 from 11:30am-4:00pm. As a reminder, we have an extensive on-site library with a large variety of LGBTQ+ focused media, we have computers that community members can use to search the web, we have a community closet where community members can pick up clothing, hygiene supplies, & gender affirming garments like binders and gaffs free of charge. In addition to these resources, we also have safer sex supplies & pamphlets and resources from other organizations throughout San Mateo County. In addition, we are hosting some onsite programming this month! To learn more about these programs, please click this link.

If you haven't heard, Changing Lives is StarVista's annual fundraiser. StarVista is a nonprofit organization that has been helping people throughout San Mateo County navigate life’s challenges for over 55 years. They offer counseling, case management, skill development, and crisis prevention programs that reach tens of thousands of people in our community each year.

We recognize that our onsite schedule has been erratic in the last few months. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused & want to emphasize that we are here to support you. If we are unable to connect with you onsite/inperson, please know we can still support you virtually.

Looking to the near future, we are excited to share that we will be welcoming new members to our team. We hope this will help stabilize and expand our ability to support you onsite at the Pride Center.
