Leadership in Motion:
Peer Leader Refresher & What's Next
|
|
This past Saturday, fourteen Peer Leaders came together for a focused skills refresher designed to strengthen confidence, alignment, and connection. Together, we revisited WoVeN’s mission, shared best practices, refreshed Socratic dialogue skills, and walked through communication expectations and group materials with an emphasis on using them in an authentic, personal way. The conversation centered on problem solving, real-world facilitation challenges, and leading with confidence while staying rooted in community and care. The energy in the room was high, and feedback from Peer Leaders made it clear this was time well spent!
Does all of that sound interesting to you?
Have you considered becoming a Peer Leader?
If so, have we've got GREAT news for you...

Establishing Connections in the Sunshine State
|
|
We’re excited to highlight our Florida State Ambassador Team, Thayra “Tye” Hausheer and Clara Garcia, part of WoVeN’s inaugural State Ambassador cohort! These outstanding Veterans are helping to grow connections and community across the Sunshine State.
Tye, a U.S. Air Force and Idaho Air National Guard Veteran, believes deeply in WoVeN’s mission of fostering connection through relationships. She’s focused on increasing WoVeN’s presence across Florida by meeting women Veterans where they are through outreach events, partnerships, and both virtual and in-person connection.
Clara, a U.S. Army Veteran, stepped into this role to build community and welcome women Veterans into supportive, visible spaces. She’s especially passionate about meeting members, reaching new Veteran sisters, and creating strong local connections through outreach at Veteran events.
Together, Tye and Clara are expanding WoVeN’s reach in Florida and helping ensure women Veterans feel seen, supported, and connected.
Starting February 1, WoVeN is launching We Got Your 6 in 2026, a national initiative rooted in meaningful connection, visibility, and sisterhood. This isn’t about checking boxes or chasing prizes. It’s about reaching out, locking eyes with another woman Veteran, and reminding her she’s not alone.
The heart of this campaign is simple: connect with women Veterans you haven’t met yet, introduce them to WoVeN, and build real, human connection along the way. Think battle buddy check-ins, community building, and showing up with intention. Along the way, there’s swag, recognition, and a chance to be celebrated at Women Veterans Day, but the real win is the connection itself.
Click the button below to register and receive your toolkit. Then join us as we reach out to our fellow Veteran sisters. Let them know we've got their 6 - now, in 2026, and beyond.

Reporting for Jazziness! 🫡
|

Each month, we host two virtual gatherings just for you:
Peer Leader Meetings
A monthly space to share updates, celebrate wins, discuss challenges, and strengthen our sisterhood. Invitations and links are automatically sent to all registered Peer Leaders.
WoVeN at Large
Open to all women Veterans!
Whether you’re new to WoVeN or just looking to connect, come and join the conversation.
Have YOU Heard of Still Serving?
WoVeN’s Still Serving initiative highlights how women Veterans continue to serve their communities long after active duty. Each month, we spotlight a service opportunity, but you're never limited to just one way to serve.
🔥 February's Spotlight: Food Banks and Soup Kitchens 🔥
Volunteering at a food bank or soup kitchen is a hands-on way to keep serving beyond the uniform. From prepping meals to stocking shelves, you’ll make an immediate impact while building connection, purpose, and belonging. This matters because after the holidays, donations and volunteers drop, but the need doesn’t. Showing up now is exactly what Still Serving is all about.
Want to get involved? Check with local churches, city or town offices, or call 211 to find food banks and soup kitchens near you.
Serve anywhere, register your group, snap a few photos, and tell us what you did! Register early and we’ll send your group Still Serving t-shirts to wear while you serve!
Still Serving - because the mission doesn’t end.
