Congresswoman Speier Highlights Implementation of 988 Lifeline in San Mateo County

Congresswoman Jackie Speier (CA-14) held a press conference on August 10, 2022 that laid out the progress San Mateo County has made in implementing the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline that went live nationally on July 16, 2022. She was joined by StarVista's CEO and staff from the StarVista Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center.

The StarVista Training Program is an organized professional program that includes quality professional training and supervised experience. Each trainee, intern, and associate has the opportunity to build cultural, ethical, and clinical competence in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and their families within a multicultural and multidisciplinary, community mental health setting.
