WoVeN Wrapped 2025:

A Year of Connection, Leadership, and Continued Service

In 2025, women Veterans across the country came together in powerful ways - and our impact speaks for itself. WoVeN welcomed 691 new members, strengthened leadership with 34 new Peer Leaders and 40 refreshed Peer Leaders, and celebrated milestones with Silver Coins, Peer Leader Exemplars, and WoVeN Champions.

Our sisterhood continued to grow with 8 new State Ambassadors in Florida, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia, while 12 WoVeN at Large meetings and 8 national events drew over 1,330 Veteran registrations!

Service remained at the heart of our mission through 19 WoVeN Still Serving projects, alongside connection through 30 regular groups and 17 Alumni Groups. That right there is proof that our sisterhood doesn’t end - IT GROWS!

All of that is to say that there’s NO WAY we could have done this without YOU. THANK YOU.

The Virginia Connection:

Leading the Commonwealth Forward

Kadiatou “Kadi” Traore (Army & Air Force) and Vivian Delts (Army) serve as the WoVeN State Ambassador team for Virginia, united by a shared commitment to connection, visibility, and support for women Veterans across the Commonwealth.

Kadi was inspired to become a WoVeN Ambassador because she “wanted to be able to talk about WoVeN with women Veterans throughout the state of Virginia and beyond.” She is especially excited about “the extended Veteran sisterhood network that this role can assist in providing to those who often feel that they are on an island by themselves,” reassuring them that they are not alone. Kadi hopes to make a difference by sharing information about WoVeN and what the organization does, and she values personal connection, preferring to call and talk with fellow Veterans, followed by short texts, to build meaningful relationships.

Vivian brings a deeply compassionate perspective to the team, sharing that “Women Veterans deserve safe, supportive spaces where they can find understanding, connection, and camaraderie.” She is passionate about empowering women Veterans and connecting them to resources, support, and one another within a strong, women-centered community. Vivian hopes to bring “a strong, compassionate voice” that uplifts and amplifies women Veterans, builds bridges to local and state resources, and fosters partnerships so that “no sister ever feels alone during separation, transition, or times of crisis.” As she shares, she is just getting started and looks forward to discovering new ways to connect across the state.

Together, Kadi and Vivian are dedicated to strengthening Virginia’s WoVeN community by ensuring Women Veterans feel seen, supported, and connected!

Ending 2025 on a High Note!

We would like to introduce you to the Veterans of Group 356, led by Brenda and Janice with a helping hand from Margaret; Group 359, led by Moneke and S. Renee (with Kari and Kristine not pictured); and Group 364, led by Eleanor and Wanda.

These women all proudly completed their 8th week in the month of December. This milestone marks not an ending, but the beginning of a lifelong connection to sisterhood, support, and continued service. We’re thrilled to officially welcome these incredible women Veterans into WoVeN - where we are ALL stronger together!

Please join us in welcoming these fantastic women Veterans.

Still Serving and Spreading Cheer!

As part of WoVeN’s Still Serving initiative, Linda Barnes, National Trainer, proudly supported the “Our Children’s Christmas Party” at the VFW in Fayetteville on December 18, 2025. When VFW Commander Perry Saunders, Jr. asked if WoVeN could show support, the answer was an enthusiastic, "YES!"

The event was a great success for the children and a meaningful example of continued service in action. Commander Saunders has already extended an invitation to Linda to return for a future event to share more about WoVeN!

Moments like these reflect the heart of Still Serving: leading with service, strengthening community bonds, and showing up where it matters most.
